Visit Belarus: now the contract on obligatory health insurance can be issued online

Starting June 10, 2019, a foreign citizen who intends to visit the Republic of Belarus has the opportunity before the trip begins conclude a contract of obligatory health insurance (OHI) through the service (http://my.bgs.by/UserCabinet/UCBNLogin.aspx?lang=en) posted on the official website of Belgosstrakh (www.bgs.by). After the insurance fee has been paid, the policyholder is sent a notification of an insurance contract to the email address specified during registration.

On the notification of the conclusion of the OHI contract, a QR code was generated that contains information about the name of the insurance organization, type of insurance, full name of the insured person, the number and duration of the insurance contract. Thus, when reading this code, it is possible to obtain reliable information about the OHI contract.

Thus concluded insurance contracts are accepted by Belgosstrakh without any restrictions.
