Belarus-Uganda

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uganda were established on October 2, 1998.

The Ambassador of Belarus to Kenya is concurrently accredited to Uganda. In October 2025, Ambassador D.A. Krasouski presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda.

Uganda's interests in Belarus are represented by the Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to Russia, Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige (he presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Belarus, A.G. Lukashenko, on September 28, 2023).

Contacts at the highest and high levels:

In 2000, the President of Uganda, J.Museveni, visited the Republic of Belarus.

In 2022, delegations from the Ministry of Defence of Uganda visited the Republic of Belarus.

In May and June 2023, meetings were held between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Uganda (in Moscow and Baku, respectively).

In January 2024 and October 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus visited Uganda.

In July 2024, in New York, as part of his participation in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development of the UN Economic and Social Council, Deputy Foreign Minister Yury Ambrazevich met with R.Nabbanja.

In September 2024, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus N.Kochanova met with Vice-President of Uganda J.Alupo at the Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum in St.Petersburg.

In July 2025, as part of the BRICS summit in Brazil, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov met with Vice-President of Uganda J.Alupo.

In accordance with the invitation of the President of Uganda Y.Museveni, an official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus to Uganda took place in February 2025.

In February 2025, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Uganda was appointed — Ugandan businessman K.S. Marwaha, the office of the Honorary Consul was opened in Kampala.
