Belarus-Uganda

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uganda were established on October 2, 1998.

In 2000, the President of Uganda, J. Museveni, visited the Republic of Belarus.

The legal base of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uganda is under development. The following documents are currently being worked on: Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda on Political Consultations, Agreement on the Cooperation in the Field of Education between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Uganda, Agreement on the Cooperation between the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries of the Republic of Uganda on cooperation in Agricultural Field, Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic Of Uganda on the promotion and reciprocal protection of Investments, Memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Uganda in the Field of military cooperation.
