Belarus to observe moment of silence to honor Great Patriotic War victims on 22 June

On 22 June, 2026 at 12:00 Belarus will commemorate those who died during the Great Patriotic War with a nationwide minute of silence. 
On TV and radio, in military units, on the streets, squares, and other public places of the country, the strikes of a metronome and the melody of a requiem will sound as a mournful echo. 
At the same time, church bells will toll and vehicles will sound their horns. Traffic will stop in certain locations.
